Close-up photograph of a person's hands holding an open hardcover book with blue-edged pages, resting in the lap of orange saffron-coloured robes. The fingers of the right hand turn a page while the left hand supports the book from below. Pages show printed Sanskrit-style text and small illustrations of ritual objects. Warm sunlight falls across the orange fabric and the blurred green background. Only the hands and lap are visible, so no face is shown.
