A dance performance in a banquet hall with a crystal chandelier, gold and lavender drapes, and a raised stage behind. Four dancers in white and gold traditional Indian costumes perform: three women stand with arms raised in mudra poses, while a man in white kurta and gold-trimmed dhoti kneels in front with hands clasped at his chest. Seated guests in pink and white attire watch at round tables, and a camera on a tripod stands at the right edge.2022-06-12June 14 20222022-06-14June 14 20222022-06-14 +2 copiesDecember 23 20082008-12-23December 31 20182018-12-31 +1 copiesA photograph of a stage set with an ornate gold throne-like seat backed by gold carved panels and a gold leafy canopy, with red drapery behind. A bearded man with long dark hair, wearing an orange-red shawl and rudraksha-style beads, sits centrally on the golden throne with a microphone. Around him, women in white and cream saris with red borders sit on a patterned rug at the front of the stage. An older man in an orange robe sits at the left edge, and a man in white kurta sits to the right of the throne near a woman in pink and a woman in blue. Gold ceremonial staffs, a trident and a deity murti appear on the stage. Several older and younger women are seated on the stage in a row.2017-03-18Women in colourful saris perform an arati-style ritual in a temple hall with a wooden floor and yellow and orange painted circles. In the foreground, several women raise their arms toward the deities, one in a pink and yellow sari with a blue blouse, another in a green and red sari with gold border, and another in a striped blue and yellow lehenga. Behind them a man in white with a yellow dhoti and white headwear stands near a low dark altar. Deity murtis are dressed in blue, purple and gold garments, decorated with marigold garlands and yellow drapery, with brass lamps and offerings on the altar. A video camera on a tripod records the scene at right.2022-08-18 +1 copiesMarch 04 20202020-03-04A cultural stage performance with seven female dancers in traditional South Indian classical dance costume: white and red saris with gold borders, one centre dancer in a magenta and gold outfit with hair ornaments.
