A photograph of a ceremonial offering under a white canopy strung with purple pennants. A man in an orange and white wrap with long swept-back hair, an orange turban, beaded mala necklaces and a gold necklace sits on a carved wooden chair, appearing to receive food from a kneeling man in white dhoti and shawl with orange border. He holds a small portion of food over a steel bowl. Banana leaves hold sweets, fruits and fried snacks on a low wooden board, and red plastic chairs and a steel vessel stand nearby. Around them, men in white dhotis and shawls with mala necklaces and a woman in an orange-bordered white sari stand watching. A banner with script lettering hangs at the left. Appearance-based label: a person, seated and receiving the offering.
