Crowd of devotees and onlookers gathered in front of a tall orange-red wall at an outdoor annadanam free food distribution. A large screen mounted above the crowd shows a man with swept-back dark hair in a crimson robe and red shawl seated on an ornate golden throne with lion-like carved armrests, with a golden backdrop behind him; the screen image is a depiction, not a person physically present. In the foreground, men in white shirts and dhotis, a woman in a blue salwar with a child, women in pink and orange saris with flowers in their hair, and a shirtless man in a white dhoti move through the crowd. The people visible in the photo are physical attendees.

He extends his hand to receive fruit, apples and oranges offered on trays by devotees kneeling at his feet. Devotees in white and cream clothing, some with sandalwood or vibhuti marks, crowd the floor, and a video camera on a tripod stands in the background beside white drapes and gold decorations. Swamiji (probable): the saffron wrap, swept-back long hair, gold necklaces and rudraksha-style garland match the cues for the Swamiji candidate, seated and receiving offerings in a fruit-offering ritual setting.2016-01-03
