April 24 20062006-04-24A photograph of an initiation moment indoors at a wooden-panelled hall with a flower arrangement of white lilies, purple and pink flowers on a magenta-draped table beside a small urn and a digital clock. A man in white ritual clothing with a light beaded rudraksha-style mala stands at left, palms raised toward a seated figure at right. The seated figure wears saffron-orange robes and has long, swept-back dark hair, extending one hand toward the man's forehead in a blessing gesture. A blue banner and a small white stand are visible in the background, and a few heads are visible at the bottom edge. Probable Swamiji (orange robes, long swept-back hair, seated in a blessing initiation) is seated at right, conducting an initiation with a devotee in white.2006-04-24April 24 20062006-04-24A photograph of an initiation session at a venue with wooden panelling. A man with long swept-back dark hair and a saffron-orange robe stands to the right, raising his right hand to touch the forehead of a man in a grey patterned shirt with a rudraksha mala, who bows slightly. A seated man in white kurta with rudraksha mala and a pendant watches at left, and a woman in pale pink sits at the lower right. Purple gladioli and a silver tray with flowers are on a pink-draped table nearby. The orange-robed man has long hair and distinctive saffron clothing, consistent with the page's a person reference, though identity is appearance-based only.2006-04-24A photograph of an indoor initiation session in a wooden-panelled room. A woman with long dark hair in an orange-saffron top and shawl places her hand on the head of a man with grey hair wearing a light blue striped shirt and a rudraksha mala. Behind them a pink-draped table holds flowers and a small object, with a dark framed picture on the wall and another person in white clothing at left. The woman's long hair, saffron clothing and ornate presentation give a person cue, but she is a candidate only; the image is partly cropped and her face is not clearly visible, so identity is uncertain.2006-04-24A seated man with long dark hair, wearing a white dhoti-style garment with gold border, a gold shawl and a heavy gold necklace with a long pendant, reaches forward to touch the forehead of a bearded man with light brown hair in a white top, who kneels before him in front of a bouquet of gladiolus and other flowers on a low table. Another seated person in an orange-red garment is partially visible in the centre. A pink cloth covers the table, and a fan and white cushions sit in a wooden-panelled room. The seated figure has distinctive long hair and gold ornaments, so the appearance suggests a person performing a forehead blessing, though this is uncertain.2006-04-23April 24 20062006-04-24
