October 14 20072007-10-14Photograph of a ritual water offering at an indoor site. Several young boys in white shirts and green-and-red lungis or dhotis pour water from brass kalasha pots into a blue pool decorated with green lotus leaves and white lotus flowers. Behind them, a woman in a white sari with a rudraksha-style necklace and an older woman in an orange shawl with a pink-clad companion stand by, some holding brass pots. Water flows from a hose into the pool. The setting appears to be an abhishekam-style water ritual. Cream and red banners hang on the wall.2007-10-14A night-time photograph of a ritual at an outdoor-style pool filled with water and floating lotus leaves and white lotus blossoms.
