A seated ritual scene at a Kumbh Mela camp. A bald man in a peach-coloured robe bends forward with his head lowered while a man in a deep maroon robe, red turban and gold-and-beaded necklaces lifts a long gold garland over him. Beside them an elderly bearded sadhu in orange sits on the floor, and a man in white with a red-and-gold shawl and gold necklace stands at right. Pink-draped tables hold marigold garlands, a silver plate with flowers and a diya, and small bottles. A television sits in the background. Five or more people are visible.2015-09-15A photograph of an indoor satsang setting with cream walls, recessed lighting and a red floral backdrop. On the left, a man in a red-maroon turban and maroon robe with gold trim, wearing a long brown rudraksha-style mala and gold earrings, smiles while reaching forward to touch the hands of a bearded man on the right. The bearded man wears a saffron-orange shawl over a rust-orange robe and bows slightly. Behind them, a red-and-gold patterned cloth covers a low platform, and two women in white and green sit near a golden-backed chair. Swamiji (probable) is the man in the maroon turban and gold-trimmed robe with a long rudraksha mala, shown here as the one receiving the gesture.2014-03-18September 15 20152015-09-15 +1 copiesSeptember 15 20152015-09-15 +1 copiesA photograph of a ritual scene in an open hall. A figure in an orange robe and orange turban sits on a red zebra-striped cushioned seat with gold-carved armrests, wearing a heavy gold necklace and holding a white string that he gives to a man. The seated figure has long hair pinned at the back, smiles and gestures with both hands. Facing him, a man in a white kurta with a red-orange shawl bows low with his hands near the string. Other people in saffron and orange robes with rudraksha malas stand behind, and a participant in white and red-orange stands at right. Ceiling fans, lights and white walls surround the room. The page indicates Swamiji at this event, but the seated figure's appearance shows several cues (long hair, orange turban, gold necklace, saffron robe) that are consistent with a probable identification, so this is an appearance-based candidate, shown in person.2015-07-20September 15 20152015-09-15Photograph inside a large hall with red draped walls and white sofas, with seated devotees on the floor and a screen at top left showing robed figures on a stage. In the foreground, a man in a deep orange-red turban and layered rudraksha malas and gold necklaces stands smiling, handling a marigold garland being tied by a bald man in a saffron-gold robe and rudraksha beads at the right edge. Beside them, a bearded man with a tilak and an orange shawl receives the garland, while an older bearded man with grey hair in a saffron robe stands at left and an orange-robed man in a yellow turban bows toward him. Several devotees sit in the background. The right-side man in the turban is an appearance-based candidate for a person receiving a garland, with cues of a red turban, layered rudraksha malas and ornate gold necklaces; identity is uncertain.2015-10-18September 15 20152015-09-15 +1 copiesIndoor hall with white ceiling lights and a red patterned carpet. A bare-chested man on the left wears a reddish-brown wrap, a bead necklace and a large rust-coloured turban, seated and smiling. Beside him stands a man in orange robes with a bright orange knit cap, thick white beard and glasses, holding his hands together. To the right, an older man in a pink-red turban and orange shawl smiles while hands offer a folded red and purple cloth. Behind them a man in white with a rudraksha mala and other attendants move around the room, with a floral arrangement on a stand and a camera on a tripod at left.2014-03-21April 22 20162016-04-22September 15 20152015-09-15 +1 copiesOctober 18 20152015-10-18
