August 07 20112011-08-07A shaved-headed priest in white dhoti and shawl sits cross-legged on a raised stone platform before large statues of Shiva and Parvati under a carved stone arch, with a gilded frame and a blue draped backdrop. The Shiva figure wears an orange turban and rudraksha garlands, and the Parvati figure wears a gold crown and red garland. Red and white flower garlands hang down the front, and brass vessels, a kalasha-style pot and oil lamps sit before a small red-clad figure. A standing red-robed figure stands on the right beside a lamp stand. This appears to be a puja or abhishekam at a temple shrine.2011-08-09A seated man in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl sits cross-legged on a raised granite platform before a large deity murti of a seated god and goddess. The murti wears garlands of yellow and purple flowers, a crown and ornate gold jewellery, and sits on a throne-like seat within a gilded arch framed by blue draped curtains. Brass vessels, a kalasha-style pot, oil lamps and a small image of a deity sit on the platform, with strings of fairy lights overhead. Stone pillars and carved panels surround the shrine.2008-09-30September 24 20112011-09-24 +1 copiesSeptember 30 20082008-09-30May 20 20132013-05-20A photograph inside a temple shrine with carved stone pillars and a gilded arch.
