A photograph of an evening outdoor press gathering under a green canopy strung with coloured bunting. Around twenty-five men sit on plastic chairs and on a red-painted floor, many in white shirts and dhotis or trousers, some in checked and striped shirts. A cameraman in white with an orange shawl films from the left, another man photographs with a still camera, and one seated man in a checked shirt gestures with a raised hand. On the right, a woman in an orange sari sits facing the group beside a microphone and potted plants. Behind them stands a large printed banner in Tamil with a portrait photograph of a man with long hair and a religious graphic on the right.
