Behind them is an ornate silver throne with a leopard-print cushion and a silver lion figure. The scene resembles a darshan blessing, with the seated figure a person by appearance cues.2017-12-16October 06 20172017-10-06January 09 20182018-01-09April 14 20182018-04-14A man with long dark dreadlocks and a short beard wears a rust-red sleeveless robe with a heavy gold necklace of beads and a leopard-print cloth behind him, placing his hand on the crown of a grey-haired elderly devotee who is seated with his back to the camera and wears a white cord over his shoulder. Behind them a richly ornamented silver backdrop with red and green gem decorations forms the setting. A hand at the left edge holds a small card. The scene suggests a shakti initiation blessing given in person.2018-04-19May 17 20182018-05-17A photograph of two men in close, warm contact. On the left, an older man with grey hair and a moustache, wearing a white shirt, bends his head forward while the other man places his right hand on his forehead and rests his left hand on his neck. The man giving the blessing wears a rust-orange sleeveless cloth over a bare chest, with a brown rudraksha-style mala at his neck, long dark hair, a beaded red-and-black wrist band, and a white tilak on his forehead, and he smiles. Behind them are gold-coloured ritual objects, a brass kalasha-like vessel and a red cushioned seat. A Swamiji (probable) candidate is present, with the cues of long swept-back hair, rudraksha mala and saffron-orange cloth; the appearance is consistent with the page but not conclusive for identification.2016-07-07
