Photograph of a long row of seated devotees at a night ritual, with oil lamps and small brass or steel plates set on low wooden tables under corrugated metal shelter. Most participants wear saffron and orange garments, several in orange and yellow printed cloth. In the left foreground a man with long dark hair and a flower garland, in saffron clothing, sits beside a figure wearing a maroon turban with a gold crown-like ornament, a gold necklace and a yellow marigold garland; a person in a similar turban and orange robe is also visible. Other people on the right hold plates and bend over the tables. A man in a blue shirt with an ID badge stands at the back. The scene looks like a lamp-lit ceremonial gathering in an open-sided pavilion.2016-05-11A long row of seated participants at a ritual in a temple-like hall, with brass plates holding small oil lamps lit before them. Many people wear saffron and orange robes, some with orange-and-yellow marigold garlands draped over their shoulders and arms. Several hold garlands outstretched in offering. A man on the left wears a white dhoti with a rudraksha-style mala and reddish marks on his forehead. On the far right, a woman wears a red turban and gold jewellery. Behind them, a gilded altar glows with lamps and marigold garlands. The scene appears to be an offering or puja ceremony with lamps and garlands. The lamps are oil lamps. Several people are visible, roughly six to twenty, with partially visible figures at the edges. An orange-robed man near the centre-right with long grey hair and beard resembles the candidate for a person, but his appearance is not distinctive enough to confirm identity.2015-09-11 +1 copiesA photograph inside an orange tent during a communal meal at a long row of low wooden tables. The seated men have white and grey beards and shaved or swept-back hair, and wear orange and saffron cloth with marigold garlands. Behind them an ornate gold-toned arch and decorated shrine structure glow with warm lights. The attendants wear red shawls, sacred threads and tilak marks on their foreheads. The scene resembles a formal bandara or honouring ceremony for Mahanirvani akhada leaders. No single figure is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance, so no candidate is marked.2015-09-11April 23 20162016-04-23May 11 20162016-05-11A long row of seated men at a ceremonial banquet or ritual meal, holding lit oil lamps in silver plates along a silver-covered table.
