A decorated golden palanquin or ratha-style vehicle is the central subject, draped with yellow, white, purple and magenta flower garlands and crowned with a tall golden finial. An orange and red umbrella with a fan-shaped top stands beside it, and tassels in orange, green, pink and blue hang from its canopy. Outdoors among palm trees, two saffron-robed sadhus stand at left, one holding a small umbrella, and a man in a white robe with a yellow shawl stands at right. A brass or gold kalasha-type vessel sits on the ground in front, and a corrugated shed is visible behind.2010-02-12A photograph of an ornate golden palanquin or ratha-style vehicle decorated for a procession, with a canopy of colourful tassels in red, orange, green, blue and purple hanging from bell-topped rods, and a golden kalasha-style finial at the top. Garlands of yellow marigolds and white and purple flowers drape the golden sides, and carved gold panels frame the seat. An orange umbrella with fringe stands at the left, and palm trees and a thatched roof sit behind under bright sunlight. A small mirror is set into the side. A few partially visible people in white clothing appear at the edges. No central figure is clearly visible on the seat.2010-02-12December 15 20112011-12-15February 17 20152015-02-17 +1 copiesJuly 15 20112011-07-15December 20 20102010-12-20January 01 20122012-01-01December 22 20102010-12-22January 01 20122012-01-01December 22 20102010-12-22A decorated ceremonial chariot, ratha, is paraded outdoors under a bright sky. A seated figure with long dark hair and a gold crown sits on an ornate golden throne-like seat draped in marigold and white flower garlands, wearing a white garment and a white shawl. Above, a large saffron-and-maroon umbrella with fringe shades the seat, and the canopy is hung with tasselled bells in orange, purple, teal and green. White-clad devotees in yellow shawls walk and stand around the chariot's base, one holding a cloth to his face, and a bald man in white stands at the left edge.2010-01-01December 15 20112011-12-15
