A photograph of a seated figure in an orange-saffron robe and matching orange head wrap, with pink and white flower petals scattered over the robe and at the base of the seat, receiving a devotee in a white room. Beside them, a standing man in a white kurta and dhoti raises a hand in a blessing-like gesture, and an attendant in white holds a small bowl at left. Behind them, a seated crowd of men in white shirts and dhotis sits on the floor, several with hands pressed together in anjali, some wearing lanyard badges. Red curtains hang at the windows and a few framed pictures decorate the walls.

A man seated on a white-covered raised seat wears an orange saffron cloth wrapped as a turban, an orange cloth over his body, and layered white and red flower garlands. He holds his hands outward while a woman in a white sari with a red bindi and dark hair, and a woman in a grey-blue sari, offer him flower petals from brass bowls. Pink roses and scattered petals cover the white seat. Men in white kurtas stand behind, clapping, one holding a mobile phone. A kneeling man in white sits in the foreground, and a standing woman in a red-bordered white sari holds a bowl. A ceiling fan and grey curtains are visible behind.A dimly lit indoor photograph of a seated figure in an orange turban and orange shawl, wearing a thick multicolour garland of yellow marigolds, red roses and green leaves, hands folded in namaskar and face lowered. Around him, devotees in white kurta and dhoti kneel and sit closely; one man on the right leans forward with palms pressed together, another at left holds his hands joined, and a man in the upper left wears an orange shawl and holds a small object to his chin. A man in front-left shows a bare upper body with beaded rudraksha-style necklaces. The figure in the turban has an orange garment and a garland, consistent with a person appearance, with the cues being the orange turban, orange shawl and garland; the person is being honoured in a ritual gathering during a procession-style event.2006-09-24A photograph of a ceremony in a large open-sided hall with a corrugated metal roof. A seated figure in orange robes with a white and multicoloured floral garland sits on a raised bed draped with a leopard-print cloth; the figure has long dark hair and joins palms in prayer. In front, a man in white dhoti and shirt bends forward, tending a small brass fire vessel with a flame beside a rolled rug. Around them, rows of men in white dhotis and shirts stand or sit with palms pressed together, some wearing saffron shawls and rudraksha or beaded necklaces. A coloured fringed canopy hangs at upper right, and a framed portrait labelled with a copyright line sits at lower right. That figure wears a saffron-orange robe, a long garland of white and colourful flowers, and has long swept-back dark hair; the seated figure appears to be a sannyasi giving satsang, and the appearance cues are not distinctive enough to confirm an identity. Orange-clad attendants stand among the crowd, and a few men wear white dhotis and shawls. The floor has a patterned mat and striped rugs, the hall has unfinished brick walls and a standing fan, and a painted deity or figure stands near the top left corner.2007-02-24
