A green steel truss bridge spans a deep rocky gorge in a mountainous, forested landscape. Its lattice of diagonal beams and riveted members runs diagonally across the frame, with a concrete abutment and retaining wall on the left and a narrow road deck visible beneath. Steep slopes covered in dense green shrubs and trees rise behind it, and a few small grazing animals are visible near the base of the left abutment. No people are visible.2007-07-11July 02 20082008-07-02July 08 20082008-07-08 +1 copiesJune 02 20052005-06-02 +1 copiesA photograph of a green steel truss footbridge spanning a steep forested gorge in the Himalayan hills. A line of pilgrims, several in orange and saffron clothing, walks across the bridge deck, with more people gathered on the rocky path at the far end. Dense green trees and shrubs cover the slopes, and a red-and-white painted railing runs along the near edge of the path in the foreground.2008-06-30 +1 copiesA steep hillside road cut through forested Himalayan slopes. Dust rises from a raw, eroded earth embankment where the road has been carved into the mountain. Several people and a vehicle are visible small in the distance along the upper road edge, and dense green shrubs and trees fill the foreground. The scene shows a rugged mountain pass with an unpaved cut-slope road.2005-05-25July 07 20082008-07-07June 16 2004 - Rishikesh-Guptakashi-Uttarkashi2004-06-16A photograph of a group of pilgrims crossing a green steel truss footbridge over a forested mountain gorge. About a dozen people walk across the bridge, several in bright clothing including yellow, orange, blue and red garments, some carrying bags. Dense green trees and shrubs cover the steep hillside behind, and a rocky cliff rises on the right with a small sign on the rock. Figures are also seen on the far side of the bridge and along the path below.
