Outdoors in a garden courtyard beside yellow temple walls and palm fronds, a bare-chested man with long grey dreadlocks and dark brown rudraksha malas splashes water over his face with both hands, water spraying from his wrists. Around him stand devotees: several bare-chested men with dreadlocked topknots in orange and saffron dhotis or wraps, layered rudraksha necklaces and red armbands; women in red and orange saris with rudraksha malas; and a woman in a beige sari with red kumkum on her forehead. Some onlookers have palms joined in namaskar. The orange-tiled floor is wet, and a yellow cord lies at the lower edge.
