A homa fire ritual is underway on a tiled floor. In the centre, a priest in a rust-orange turban and orange-saffron robe with a rudraksha mala kneels behind a brick fire pit decorated with red and yellow flower petals and white rangoli lines, holding a ladle and a lit oil lamp over offerings. A second man in white dhoti and white shirt with a red-and-white shawl bends to assist beside him. Behind them, rows of seated devotees in white clothing and red shawls watch, and a woman in white and red sits at right. Brass vessels of fruit, sweets and flowers, a kalasha-like decorated pot, and a small oil lamp surround the fire pit. The a person-appearance check is not met: the central priest has a turban and shaved-looking face, so he is described only as a priest.
