A photograph of a man seen from behind on a rocky hillside, wearing an orange t-shirt with a small blue-and-white logo and a red-orange cloth draped over his shoulders. He faces a small shrine set among shrubs and a young tree, with orange and red fabric hung on it, a red-and-white framed picture or cloth backdrop, and a brass pot nearby. He appears to be pouring or offering something toward the shrine. Dry brown hills and sparse vegetation fill the background under a pale sky.

Outdoor photograph on a dry rocky hillside with sparse green shrubs and a bare tree. In the foreground at left, a young man with short dark hair, seen from behind, wears an orange shirt with a blue logo and sits on a rock holding a notebook. A small shrine with a saffron flag on a pole, a decorated mound of stones and a striped umbrella with floral garlands stand on the slope in the middle distance. The setting appears to be a hill site rather than a temple hall.2008-05-19A photograph of a hillside shrine in a dry, rocky landscape with scrubby trees and palms. A single man with a shaved head, wearing an orange shirt and orange dhoti-style wrap, stands with his back to the camera, facing a small altar. On the altar is a framed portrait garlanded with red and white flowers and draped in orange cloth, beside a red flag on a pole and a multicoloured parasol. A garlanded cloth-covered stone with a printed image sits on the left, near rocks.2008-05-19A hot, dry hillside with rocky outcrops and sparse green shrubs under a hazy sky. In the foreground at right, a man in orange saffron robes and a red shawl stands on a mat, holding a small brass vessel up near his face while gesturing with his other hand. Nearby stands a small orange-painted shrine with a framed picture and a red and white cloth, flanked by orange and red pennants on poles. A line of white-clothed devotees is absent; the scene is a solitary ritual at a hilltop shrine. A visible portion of the shrine's framed image is a printed picture. The man's build and head are partly shaded, and the appearance cues are limited to saffron robes and a red shawl, which do not alone establish identity.2008-05-19May 19 20082008-05-19A photograph taken from behind of a man in an orange t-shirt with a blue logo on the back, raising a metal ritual vessel overhead above a rock-side shrine. Beneath a striped multicolored canopy, a deity murti sits on a rock ledge, surrounded by red and white garlands. Dry hillside, shrubs, palm trees and a sandy path frame the scene. No identifiable a person figure is visible.2008-05-19A young man seen from behind in an orange t-shirt printed with the word a person and a blue logo, wearing an orange cloth wrapped around his waist and a red-and-orange sash over his shoulder. He stands on a dry rocky slope, extending his right arm toward a small shrine. A white stone deity murti adorned with a garland of red and white flowers sits beneath a multicoloured umbrella canopy, with a small metal vessel tilted in the air to the right, apparently pouring water. Palm and shrubby plants surround the scene under a hillside.2008-05-19A photograph of a young man seen from behind, wearing an orange t-shirt printed with a blue logo and the words Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam, and an orange dhoti with a red sash. Dry hillside vegetation and a hill rise behind.2008-05-19May 19 20082008-05-19A young man in an orange shirt printed with a blue logo and an orange dhoti-style wrap stands with his back to the camera, raising a brass aarti lamp or kalasha-like vessel high in one hand toward a rocky hillside. Nearby stands a small shrine with orange and red flags, a colourful striped umbrella over a stone platform, and a red-draped structure among green shrubs and palms. The setting is dry, rocky and sunlit, with a hazy sky above.2008-05-19May 19 20082008-05-19May 19 20082008-05-19A man in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl stands on a dusty hillside path holding an object raised in one hand, with a small brass vessel in the other. Behind him is a small orange-fronted shrine with a framed image and red-and-white garlands, a striped mat on the ground, and a tall rocky hill under a hazy sky. An orange flag flutters from a sapling beside the shrine, and a small umbrella-like canopy shelters the area. The figure's appearance is consistent with a sannyasi in saffron clothing, but the face and identity cannot be confirmed from the image.2008-05-19
