2015-July-302015-07-30Night-time photo of a man standing barefoot on a raised platform under a corrugated metal roof, hands pressed together in anjali mudra with eyes closed. He wears an orange-red saffron wrap over a rust-red robe, a white vibhuti line on his forehead and a long garland of white and pink flowers with red blooms. Seated devotees on colourful striped mats in white and red-orange clothing listen in front of him; a tall copper-coloured pillar with a lamp stands at right and strings of coloured lights hang overhead. A shaved-headed man in saffron sits at lower right. The setting suggests a satsang or ritual gathering. A man in a white-and-saffron wrap appears on the platform behind.2017-04-282015-July-302015-07-30Night outdoor scene on a red-carpeted walkway lit by strings of small blue and white lights, with palm fronds behind. A central figure in a brown robe and brown shawl, wearing a long yellow-orange and red-flower garland, stands with palms pressed together in anjali mudra. A brass oil lamp with a bird finial stands to the left of the walkway. On the right, two men in saffron-orange robes stand; one holds a tray of flowers and the other stands with hands folded. On the left, a row of devotees in orange, cream and white clothing stand with palms joined. The central figure's cues are a brown robe and garland rather than a clear crown or rudraksha, so identity is uncertain.2018-03-02Night event under a corrugated roof with string lights and a bright lamp. A central standing man in a rust-orange robe with bare feet and folded palms, eyes closed, wears a pink and white flower garland and a gold necklace, with a red tilak on his forehead. Two orange-robed men sit at right and a woman in white with a brass plate of offerings sits at left; other devotees, some in white and some in orange, sit on a striped rug. A copper-coloured post stands behind. The man's distinctive long hair and ornate garland match a person candidate, but this is an appearance-based label.2017-04-28March 16 20172017-03-16 +1 copiesFebruary 23 20172017-02-23A dark night photo of a procession walking along a path lined with devotees on both sides, many with hands joined in anjali. In the centre, a man in a deep maroon-brown robe with wide golden bands and a long gold necklace walks forward, with a companion in similar dark robes beside him. A woman on the left wears an orange-red sari with a dark shawl and beaded necklaces, hands folded in prayer. Devotees on the right wear white kurtas and white dhotis. The surroundings are almost entirely black.2015-02-17Night outdoor ritual scene with a bearded man in a rust-brown robe and a long pink-and-white flower garland, hands pressed in anjali at the centre, standing near a tall golden staff with a red canopy above. Around him, followers in orange and saffron cloths and white dhotis with gold borders, some bare-chested with rudraksha malas, stand or kneel on striped mats. One attendant in orange carries a brass kalasha with greenery. Lamps glow in the background near a deity murti on a red-and-gold stand. Swamiji (probable) is the bearded man in the centre; his appearance cues are the long hair, ornate rudraksha mala and garland, and he is in the front role of the ritual, while the other figures appear as devotees and priests.2017-03-16 +1 copiesMarch 16 20172017-03-16 +1 copiesMarch 16 20172017-03-16March 06 20162016-03-06 +1 copies
