A homa fire ceremony takes place in an open-sided pavilion at night. Smoke rises from a fire pit on a yellow-cloth platform decorated with flowers, with fruit, bananas and brass vessels arranged in front. Three priests stand at right, shirtless or bare-chested with sacred threads and rudraksha malas, wearing white dhotis; one holds a small object at the fire. On a golden throne at left sits a bearded man in saffron-orange robes wearing a white and pink flower garland, with a red cushion behind him and a colourful striped canopy above. Many seated devotees in white fill the background, under strings of lights.
