Night outdoor ritual at an ashram. A seated man in a rust-red saffron robe, long gold necklace and white-and-red tilak on his forehead sits on a raised throne-like seat beneath a large ornate parasol with multicoloured fringe. Three bare-chested men in white dhotis stand or bow before him, one with white ash markings on the body, and one bends forward at his feet. Strings of coloured lights and small flags decorate the background, with a chain-link fence and other seated attendees behind. The seated man has the appearance of the a person, identified by the saffron robe, gold necklace and tilak, placed in a ceremonial seat under a parasol; appearance is consistent but not conclusive.
