Outdoor water ceremony at a stepped tank lined with red steps and small stone lamp posts. A floral-decorated float with a saffron-yellow canopy and garlands carries a seated figure in an orange-red garment and a red shawl. Many devotees wade in the water around the float; several wear white and cream dhotis or saris, and some have yellow shawls. Some people in the water are bare-chested, and a man in white dhoti stands on the steps at left. A loudspeaker sits on the upper right step. The scene looks like a ratha or procession ceremony with devotees immersed in water. No readable names or captions are visible.2010-10-17October 17 20102010-10-17A photograph of a ceremonial water ritual in a red-tiered stone tank. The platform is draped with marigolds, roses and garlands, topped with an orange canopy, and a seated figure in orange robes sits within it. Many people stand waist-deep in the water wearing white clothes, some in yellow or pink, forming a circle around the platform and holding hands. Others stand on the steps in white, and palm trees and a floodlight stand behind. Individual physical figures are too small to describe reliably, and the seated figure's appearance is not clear enough to identify.2010-07-26July 26 20102010-07-26July 26 20102010-07-26Outdoor scene at a red-tiered stadium-style venue where a decorated ratha-style palanquin, draped in flowers and garlands with a yellow canopy, is carried through shallow water.
