Night photograph of a Karthigai Deepam ritual procession in a temple setting. A devotee in a maroon-red robe with an orange band across the top, wearing a long white and red garland and gold necklaces, holds a woven basket tray with a hand near a lit oil lamp. Beside her, a young man in an orange-saffron dhoti and a tall beaded headdress cups a flame in his hands. On the right, a bare-chested man with white sacred ash stripes on his arms and chest holds out a basket, while a young attendant in orange places a hand on his shoulder. Several other people in orange and red robes with tilaka marks stand behind, and a silver staff with a hanging ornament appears at top left.
