A bearded man in a white turban with a white and red vertical tilak mark on his forehead stands outdoors on a sunlit street. He wears a large orange, red and brown floral-patterned blanket wrapped over white dhoti-style clothing, with a beige shawl draped over one shoulder. He holds a metal pot with a handle in one hand and a long rod in the other. Behind him, another man in a dark jacket and a blurred crowd stand near stalls and vehicles. +1 copiesFebruary 08 20132013-02-08February 11 20132013-02-11May 11 20162016-05-11A barefoot sadhu with long matted dreadlocks walks across a sandy riverside path at a crowded Kumbh Mela site. He is bare-chested, wearing a red-orange dhoti with gold-edged border, a multi-strand beaded necklace with shell and metal pendants, and ankle bangles. He carries a stainless steel pot in his right hand. Around him, men in sweaters, jackets and checked shirts stand near temporary bamboo-and-tarpaulin stalls, and a man in a white scarf watches from the left.A bearded sadhu with arms raised stands on a riverside path at the Kumbh Mela, wearing a marigold-covered orange and saffron turban and a beige shawl over a white kurta. His face is smeared with grey ash and he has yellow tilak markings on the forehead and nose. A rope hangs from his raised hands, and a metal cup hangs from his waist cord. Red and white striped barrier posts line the path, with a hazy river and tents in the background. Behind him at right, a man in a red shawl is partly visible. Several people are visible in the background, though a precise count is uncertain. +1 copiesFebruary 11 20132013-02-11February 15 20132013-02-15 +1 copiesFebruary 10 20132013-02-10May 07 20162016-05-07February 11 20132013-02-11May 07 20162016-05-07 +1 copies
