A photograph of a person seated on an orange upholstered armchair in an open-air shrine courtyard. The person wears an orange-saffron robe, a rudraksha mala around the neck, and has long dark hair falling past the shoulders; both palms are raised in front of the chest in a greeting gesture. Behind is a grey stone shrine with carved pillars and a deity murti with a gold-and-red decorated crown and attire, flanked by orange drapes and brass lamps. A white pedestal stands to the left and an orange cloth lies on the floor.2010-07-112010 - Photo Album +1 copiesOctober 30 20102010-10-30July 06 20102010-07-06A photograph of a decorated shrine canopy with a standing woman in a deep orange-red sari and a rudraksha mala, raising one hand in greeting beside a large central deity murti garlanded with yellow and red marigolds. Behind them, two larger murtis in ornate crowns and garlands stand under a red canopy, with a brass kalasha, a silver puja vessel, a brass oil lamp and a plate of offerings on the floor. Columns and greenery frame the open shrine, and the scene suggests a puja or darshan setting.December 01 20102010-12-01A photograph inside a temple shrine with a deity murti of Shiva and Parvati, adorned with garlands of yellow and orange flowers and a dark kumkum-marked figure. A man in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, with a shaved head and rudraksha mala, bends forward to perform abhishekam over a white stone lingam set in a basin before the deities. Flanking the shrine are a golden standing figure, potted ferns and bright floral arrangements. On the foreground altar, three framed photographs of a young girl with red flowers sit amid oil lamps, brass plates, blue boxes and offerings on an orange cloth.2011-03-03A three-panel collage of photographs from a temple setting, with a deity murti shrine of gold-framed figures adorned with garlands at the back. In the top-left panel, a bald man in white kneels before a seated person in orange robes and a shawl while placing a hand on their head. In the top-right panel, a man in a light shirt and an orange-robed person sit in orange-cushioned chairs as a man in white and a man in yellow stand nearby. In the bottom panel, a person in orange robes sits with hands pressed together in namaste before the shrine, wearing orange footwear.2010-07-07A temple shrine scene where a long-haired man in orange-saffron robes and a flower garland stands before an ornate golden deity murti seated on a throne with a red canopy and purple drapery. The murti wears a golden crown and is garlanded with marigolds and flower strands. In front of the deity, a tall brass oil lamp with a flame burns on a stand, and a brass kalasha-like vessel is decorated with garlands. To the left, another saffron-clad devotee with folded hands stands near brass lamps, and a figure in white is partly visible at the edge. Carved stone pillars and greenery frame the shrine.July 27 20102010-07-27 +3 copiesA seated man in an orange-saffron robe sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne (peetha) in a stone-pillared temple hall, bare-footed, with a rudraksha mala around his neck and short hair. Before him stands a small gold-rimmed brass tray set with offerings on a gold lotus-shaped base. Behind him, a deity murti with a gold crown, yellow and purple dress and garlands of marigold and orange flowers stands on a stone platform beside a second adorned figure, with brass oil lamps (deepas) flanking the shrine. Orange curtains hang at the sides and a red-painted staircase and iron gate are visible at right. The seated man is a visible candidate for a person but his appearance is not sufficiently distinctive to confirm, so the presentation is noted as uncertain.2010-08-07December 12 20112011-12-12
