December 29 20082008-12-29December 29 20082008-12-29Outdoor festival scene under a canopy strung with orange, yellow and red bunting and fabric drapes. A seated figure in saffron-orange robes, a white turban, long hair, a red bindi and layered garlands of marigold and white flowers places a medal ribbon around the neck of a young man in a white martial-arts uniform with a black belt and an Indian flag patch. A second man in white stands beside him, and a third person in dark clothing sits at the lower right. Behind them, many seated people in white and orange clothing watch, and a red-and-white canopy is visible above. The seated figure has distinctive long hair, a turban, saffron robes and a garland, consistent with a person appearance, but this is an unconfirmed appearance-based label; the page does not identify him here.2008-12-29December 29 20082008-12-29A photograph of an outdoor ceremony under a canopy strung with colourful pennants and festoons. A seated figure in saffron-orange robes, a white head wrap, and layered garlands of white and red flowers accepts a ribbon or certificate from a man in a white dobok-style uniform with a black belt and an Indian flag patch on the sleeve. Another man in white stands beside them. Rows of people in white clothing, many with orange shawls, sit on red mats behind them, and more spectators stand in the background.2008-12-29A festival scene under a canopy decorated with red, yellow and orange fabric and streamers. A seated figure in saffron-orange garments with a white head cloth, red and white flower garlands and gold necklaces receives a document from a young man in white clothes with a black belt. Oil lamps and flower garlands sit on a red and patterned cloth at the lower right.2008-12-29Outdoor festival scene under a canopy decorated with red, yellow and green pennants and orange triangular flags. A person in saffron-orange robes with a white head wrap and red flower garland sits on a raised red-and-white striped platform with a patterned red rug, waving, while a man in a white shirt with a black belt stands before them with hands in namaskar. A trident-topped staff and a parasol-like canopy frame the platform. Many people in white clothing sit on the red mat in front, and men in dark suits stand at the right edge.2008-12-29A photograph of a procession on a dirt path beside a chain-link fence, with orange flags visible behind. A long-haired man in an orange saffron cloth and a long white garland with red flowers and a gold-bead mala stands at left, smiling, with his right hand raised near his side; the presentation cues include long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and ornate gold-bead mala, so this is a probable Swamiji (probable) in person. Around him, devotees in white dhotis and white shirts with lanyards and rudraksha-style malas stand with hands folded in namaskar, one man bowing deeply. Another orange-robed figure stands at right edge and a person kneels at lower left. Yellow petals lie on the ground.2009-12-29December 29 20082008-12-29A photograph of a seated figure in saffron-orange robes wearing a heavy gold-beaded necklace, with long dark hair, smiling as she reaches toward a brass bowl of flowers and fruit on a wooden stand. A man in a white shirt with a white floral garland and folded hands bows smilingly toward her. Behind them, a man in white with a gold chain and another in white with a grey beard stand near a red-and-gold temple gate, and a man in white with an orange shawl stands at the right edge. Four to five physical people are visible. The seated figure's appearance and saffron robes with ornate gold necklace are compatible with the page's a person claim, but the person is not clearly distinguishable from other saffron-clad figures, so identity is uncertain.2010-07-24December 29 20082008-12-29December 07 20072007-12-07
