Wide view from the back of a large indoor hall filled with rows of white plastic chairs and a dense audience of many people seated facing a stage at the far end. The stage is framed by red drapes, yellow fringe valance and flower garlands, with a framed portrait and a flower-decorated platform in front; a banner above reads in Tamil. Ceiling fluorescent tube lights hang from a dark ceiling and a green wall with dark doorways lines the room. Some attendees wear white shirts and saris. The crowd is far too large to count individually, and no individual figure on stage can be clearly seen, so no candidate is identified.
