Daytime street procession in a small Indian town under a pale sky. Tractors pull decorated trailers draped in red and white cloth, garlanded with flowers and red flags, moving down a paved road lined with shops, utility poles and trees. Men in white kurta and red cloth walk beside the lead tractor, one holding a red flag. A megaphone is mounted on a pole at right, and onlookers, including children, gather along the roadside. Trailers at left carry white and red covers with purple flower garlands. Crowd appears moderate in size.

A street procession in a crowded Indian town. Central focus is a decorated ratha-style palanquin covered with a pink and gold canopy, heavily garlanded with yellow and orange marigolds, with brass bells and ornaments on its frame. Two men in saffron and orange robes stand near it; one in white dhoti and shawl stands at the rear. Red flags and an orange umbrella surround the palanquin. A tractor with loudspeakers and decorated drums leads the procession, and people in ordinary clothes and white caps line the road under strings of colourful pennant bunting. Hoardings on the right are visible. No one in the scene can be confidently identified as the a person from appearance alone.

A large outdoor procession at a Kumbh Mela-style religious festival, with a dense crowd of devotees and sadhus filling a road lined with tents and stalls. On the left, a golden ornate palanquin with a kalasha-shaped canopy and a seated figure in orange robes sits beneath a multicoloured canopy, with attendants in saffron clothing around it. On the right, a decorated float with flower garlands carries seated figures in orange and saffron robes, some wearing ceremonial garlands, and a standing woman in pink and white. Many saffron flags and orange banners fly over the crowd, and a pink-and-white decorated chariot and a tractor-drawn float follow.

Saffron-robed sadhus walk alongside the float among dense crowds of devotees, many holding red and orange flags and colourful umbrellas. Police in khaki stand along the route, and white canopy tents and a vehicle line the roadside. A tall chimney rises behind the procession.

A crowded street procession in a town with a Hindu festival atmosphere. Strings of multicolored triangular bunting in green, orange, purple and yellow stretch across the road. Saffron-robed participants fill the street, and red flags flutter from poles. A white truck with a blue 'PALLAV' sign carries large speakers and drums, and a decorated ratha-style float with a deity murti under a canopy is pulled through the crowd. Uniformed police line one side, and a man in a white seat rides a decorated cart at left. Shops and parked cars line the road, and a blue-and-yellow umbrella canopy stands on the right.
