A man seated on a yellow-cushioned seat at the right wears an orange-red turban, a multi-strand rudraksha mala, a white and red-orange flower garland with bead ornaments on his arm, and holds a silver staff. He is looking down with eyes partly closed while devotees surround him. A shaved-headed man in an orange-brown cloth with a rudraksha mala sits on the floor in front, with his hands near a brass plate. Other devotees kneel and stand around, a woman in a rust-coloured sari with folded hands, a woman in a yellow sari, and men in saffron and white dhotis. A bright light flares at the top centre.2014-07-01June 27 20142014-06-27Outdoor scene at a vehicle doorway where a smiling person in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban, wearing a white flower garland and a rudraksha mala, stands at the bus door and raises a hand in greeting. Several shaved-headed men in orange and saffron clothing stand close around. On the left, a man in white shirt and white dhoti with a rudraksha mala performs a welcome, and a man in white kneels near a brass tray with flowers and a kalasha-style arrangement of white jasmine and orange blossoms. Behind them a deity murti adorned with garlands is visible inside a shrine, with an older man in white nearby. Banana leaves frame the upper left corner.2014-07-02 +1 copiesA photograph of a crowded temple-hall moment. In the foreground a man in a white shirt raises one arm high, holding a white cloth or shawl draped over the head of a bare-chested man with a thin red-and-gold headband, a white flower garland, a dark red-orange wrap, and a bandage on his upper arm. The bare-chested man smiles with eyes lowered. Other men in white shirts and white dhotis crowd behind, and a warm yellow arched wall glows in the background.2012-05-19July 02 20142014-07-02 +1 copiesJune 21 20142014-06-21A photograph inside a hall with people and a blurred crowd behind. A man in orange cloth, bare-chested with a draped orange wrap, a white horizontal forehead band with a red dot, and red-and-white garlands and rudraksha malas, presses his right palm onto the head of a man in a white shirt with dark-rimmed glasses, who bows forward. A bystander in a white shirt with a rudraksha mala watches at left, and a man with a red tilak stands nearby. Multiple bracelets and a sprig of green leaves are visible. The orange-clad figure has a shaved-free, swept dark hairstyle and his features are not clearly distinct enough to confirm identity, so the a person candidate is uncertain.2012-10-09A photograph of a devotional reception inside a small room with white walls. In the foreground, a man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing an orange-red cloth and multiple rudraksha malas, sits smiling while a gold armlet is visible on his arm; he appears to be the honoured figure seated before the crowd. Probable Swamiji cues: long swept-back hair, rudraksha malas and saffron-orange clothing, though the appearance is only partly visible. A young man in a white dhoti and shirt wearing a rudraksha mala and a garland of white and red flowers bends forward with hands folded. A woman in a white sari with a garland and bangles stands beside him. Behind them, saffron-clad young men with shaved heads and tilak marks, a man photographing with a camera, a boy in a green shirt, and other onlookers crowd the room. Small red petals and a cardboard box of fruit sit on the floor.2014-07-02 +1 copiesNight-time photo of a street crowd where an older man in a white shirt and white dhoti drapes a large garland of red and white flowers with green leaves over the shoulders of a dark-haired man in a saffron-orange garment with a rudraksha mala. Beside him, a shaved-headed man in orange robes with a white tilak on his forehead and a mala around his neck looks on. Bystanders in white and orange crowd close, and a red-painted building with a barred window and a string of lights stand behind. Garlanding is an honour gesture in a procession-style welcome. The garlanded man is a candidate for a person by appearance, with saffron clothing and a mala, but the face and shoulders are partly hidden by the garland and crowd, so identity is uncertain.2014-07-04A man in a white short-sleeved shirt leans in from the left, reaching over the shoulders of a bare-chested man kneeling or bowing forward. The kneeling man wears a rudraksha-bead necklace and a white garland with pink and red flower strands draped across his back, with white sacred ash marks on his forearms and forehead. Behind them, a man with a shaved head and white tilak marks stands watching. Along the right, a line of people in white clothing stands in an open hall with a corrugated metal roof and a red carpeted aisle. The setting appears to be a temple-style hall with yellow walls and ceiling fans.2012-05-18
