Night photo taken on a wide open riverside or fairground area lit by a row of street lamps stretching into the distance. In the foreground, a line of about eight to ten people stand on the sandy ground beside a parked white car and a small white van with a worn roof. Several figures wear saris, shawls and dark jackets, and a few wear white or light robes. Their faces are dim in the low light. Beyond them, more people move around, and a blue truck is parked on the left. No identifiable a person figure is clearly visible, so this is a scene of people waiting in an outdoor evening crowd.

A low fence runs along the roadside with banners and flags strung from poles beyond it. Rain or mist speckles the dark sky, and the frame is cut off at the bottom by the edge of a vehicle's windshield.2013-02-12February 12 20132013-02-12Night photograph of a procession on a dusty open ground lit by rows of street lamps in the background. Dozens of people stand, sit and move along a sandy bank lit by a row of street lamps, with a boat and a long white hull in the foreground on dark water reflecting golden light. Tents and flagpoles rise in the misty background. A few figures stand near the water's edge, one wearing dark clothing on the right, and small figures are partly visible bathing in the river. A dark pile of clothing lies on the straw at lower left. Wooden poles and lights stretch along the water in the distance. The scene suggests a riverside bathing area after dark.2013-02-05
