A figure with long swept-back dark hair, white tilak on forehead and upper arm, wearing saffron-orange dhoti and shawl with a gold-bead ceremonial necklace, is seated and reaching toward a steel tray of green leaves. Beside him, a bearded older man in a red shawl over orange robes bends forward holding the tray, while another hands over a plate of yellow and pink flowers. Behind them stand several men in orange and white clothing, one bald man wearing glasses, and a man in white dhoti at right. The gathering suggests a puja or abhishekam offering. A priest with a bare chest and grey hair, wearing an orange dhoti and a red shawl with gold border, holds a brass tray of green leaves toward a man seated on an orange cushioned chair. That seated man wears an orange robe, a white-and-cream garland of flowers, a white tilak and white markings on his arms, with long dark hair swept back; he appears to be a person receiving the offering, with his long swept-back hair, orange robe and flower garland as the qualifying cues. Another orange-robed man stands behind, and seated devotees in white and a woman in a yellow-bordered sari sit on the floor, with a red mat below. A standing man in a white shirt watches at right, and framed photographs hang on the wall behind.2010-07-21Photograph of a seated ritual gathering. A figure in an orange saffron robe with long dark hair and a white forehead mark sits on a patterned mat, smiling and holding a brass tray of offerings, while wearing a thick garland of red and yellow marigolds. Facing them, a bare-chested man in orange cloth and a rudraksha-style necklace sits with palms pressed together in namaskar. Two other men in white ritual dhotis and orange cloth sit nearby, and several standing men in white shirts and dhotis, some with orange shawls, watch with hands folded. The setting appears to be a temple-side or outdoor devotional gathering.2008-08-02July 21 20102010-07-21December 30 20092009-12-30December 30 20092009-12-30A long-haired figure in a saffron-orange shawl wrapped over the shoulders and multiple gold-beaded rudraksha-style necklaces stands at the centre, extending a folded white paper or prasadam to a row of men in white shirts and white dhotis with hands folded in greeting. Behind him a shaved-headed attendant in a saffron cloth and beaded necklace stands by a tray of fruit, and an older man in white with an orange shawl is visible at right. The setting is an indoor hall with a projection screen and blue drapery. The central figure matches the probable Swamiji appearance cues of swept-back long hair, saffron clothing and ceremonial beads, and is presented as the one giving prasadam to devotees.2011-02-27
