Behind them are a dark bronze figure and a copper-coloured deity figure holding a staff, set on red-draped bases. Making Of Sacred Arts UniversityMay 17 20162016-05-17Three bronze deity murtis stand outdoors on a dusty ground covered with dry straw and small stones. The central figure is a four-armed goddess with a tall crown, bare-armed ornate jewellery, and a red and green draped skirt, holding a lotus-like object in one raised hand. A figure on the left wears a cream shawl over a magenta lower garment and plays a flute, while the figure on the right wears a green and red garment and holds a raised hand in gesture. Each statue rests on a lotus-petalled pedestal. A dark wooden stand and a small coloured cart appear behind them.A photograph of metal deity statues laid out on a paved floor during repair or restoration. Several gilded and dark-patinated bronze figures lie on their backs and sides, including a standing figure with raised arms and a female figure with a long sash. Hollow cylindrical bases and pedestals sit between them, and wooden blocks and red-painted stands are visible at the edges. No people are visible in the frame.2014-08-24A man in a rust-red shawl and a rudraksha mala stands at right, holding a small brass bowl with a lit flame, beside a wooden palanquin or swing frame holding small gilded deity figures. Behind him stand larger gilded deity murtis, including a standing figure with a trident and a seated bronze figure, several adorned with gold garlands and jewellery, on red wooden stands over a striped red cloth scattered with petals. The scene appears to be a workshop or temple store hall with a grated ceiling and a white wall.2014-08-06A photograph at an outdoor ashram construction site showing a figure in a long orange saffron robe walking between large polished bronze-gold statues of standing female figures. The statues wear draped saris in white, green with pink, and blue, and are mounted on ornate pedestals; one holds a lotus-like element. Behind them are metal scaffolding, a corrugated roof, a low cinder-block wall, bamboo poles and palm trees. The walking figure has long dark wavy hair and is the only living person clearly visible, with another person partly visible in the background. The statues and scaffolding suggest a temple-grounds setting.2006-12-22August 06 20142014-08-06A photograph of a room with several bronze or brass deity murti statues set on lotus-shaped pedestals against a white wall, some standing and some seated.
