Dusk on a wide river at sunrise or sunset, with a hazy orange sun above a distant city skyline and its reflection on the water. In the foreground, silhouetted figures stand on a riverbank beside wooden poles and moored wooden boats. A figure on the right wears a light draped shawl and a white head wrap, standing by a tall pole. Several people in red and dark clothing sit or stand near the boats. The scene suggests a ghat by the Ganga at Varanasi.

A hazy dawn or dusk view over a broad river with the sun a pale orange disc low in a smoggy sky. Bamboo poles and a boat stand in the foreground at a riverside ghat. A man in a dark jacket and white cap stands at the water's edge beside another person in a pink top. A woman in a blue headscarf and red top bends low near the bank. A small red-and-blue flag flies from a boat, and a yellow tarpaulin lies over a moored boat. Distant riverfront structures are faintly visible across the water.

A hazy, sunlit river bank at dusk or dawn, with a pale sun low in a washed-out sky over a wide, muddy-brown river. Along the sandy shore, small figures stand near bamboo platforms, wooden poles and draped cloths, including red and orange fabric. Distant tree line and a few boats are faint on the far bank. The scene suggests a riverside gathering site, possibly a pilgrimage bathing ghat, with several figures visible in silhouette; no clear ritual or a person presence is evident.

Hazy orange sunrise over a wide river at a sandy riverbank. Several moored wooden boats and small motorboats lie along the shore and out on the water. Figures walk on the sand, a motorcycle and a small wooden cart stand near the bank, and flags on bamboo poles mark the shore. Pale sky and distant tree-lined shore complete the scene.

A photograph of a river at sunrise or sunset. A pale orange sun sits low in a hazy pink-grey sky above a distant tree line. Rippling water reflects the warm light in pink and orange tones. A small wooden boat with one or two dark figures is far off on the water, and a red pennant flag on a pole juts into the right foreground. No people are clearly visible in the foreground.

A sunset photograph on a river at the Kumbh Mela. A large orange sun sits low in a hazy sky above the water. Thin bamboo poles driven into the river are strung together with ropes, forming barriers, and a small wooden boat sits among them near the bank. On the right, a crowd of silhouetted people stands and walks along a pebbled shoreline, some holding objects, and a lamp post stands at the edge. Warm, dim light reflects off the rippling water, and small lights glow in the distance across the river.
