A photograph of a stage performance against a red backdrop with the partly visible word "Anandotsav" in colourful lettering. A young woman in a white sari with a multicoloured striped shawl kneels and holds out a small piece of food to the mouth of a seated woman in an orange turban and orange sari with gold border. The seated woman wears a nose ring, gold earrings and a gold necklace, and holds a small metal cup on a silver tray. The red stage floor and a rudraksha mala on the kneeling woman complete the scene. No candidate is identifiable as a person by the visible cues.

The seated woman wears a bright orange turban with white dots, an orange and gold silk shawl over a cream and gold sari, a gold nose ring, long gold earrings, a gold necklace and white flower decorations in her hair. The seated woman's pose and the offering suggest a ritual sweet being fed, though the exact rite is not clear from the image alone.
