Behind them several workers and onlookers stand and sit in the background, some in white shirts and lungis. The figures are golden-brown metal with ornate necklaces, armbands and anklets. The male figure holds a ritual object in one raised hand, and a metal vessel and tools lie on the ground nearby.2006-09-18Photograph of two large bronze-coloured seated deity statues under a white tarpaulin outdoors, apparently in a workshop yard. The seated male figure on the left has a tall conical crown, a bare torso with a ceremonial necklace, and raises one hand holding a small vessel. The seated female figure on the right wears an ornate tiered crown, layered necklaces and jewelled arm bands, and her hand rests on a wooden block. Palm trees and a man in a white vest sit nearby, with other people in the background. The statues are depictions of deities, not living people.2006-09-18A photograph under a white tarpaulin at a temple-restoration site shows a person in an orange-saffron wrap with long dark hair leaning in to touch a large bronze deity murti, seated with a crown and a shoulder-draped ornate necklace, beside a second bronze goddess figure with a tall jatamukuta-style headdress. Behind them, a bare-chested worker in a green vest and a person in white stand among rubble, green trees and a metal cart. The person in saffron is visible from the side, and the scene reads as a visit to inspect the sculptures. a person identity is unsure from appearance alone.2006-09-18Photograph of two large bronze deity murtis, a male and a female figure with tall crowns and heavy necklaces, standing under a white tarpaulin outdoors among trees. A man with long swept-back hair wearing a saffron-orange shawl over his bare upper body stands at right, looking toward the statues. Several men in shirts and lungis stand behind them, one examining the figures. Probable Swamiji (probable) appears in this scene: the long swept-back hair and saffron-orange wrap are the cues. He is inspecting the presiding deities during their final inspection before installation.2006-09-18A long-haired man in a saffron-orange robe stands among large brass or bronze temple sculptures under a white tarpaulin canopy. He is looking down at the metal figures, with one hand resting near a gilded piece. In the foreground are the heads of two large gilded deity figures with tall ornate crowns, carved detailing and decorated necks. Several onlookers, including children and a man in a red head cloth, stand behind him beside a rough outdoor work area with bricks and timber. Palm trees and a thatched shelter are visible in the background. Appears to be a site inspection of temple sculptures; possibly a person (long hair, saffron robe) present in person.2006-09-18Two large bronze-coloured deity statues stand in a storage workshop surrounded by other sculptures. The left figure, a male deity, wears a tall ornate crown and a multi-strand necklace, holds a trident-like staff in one hand and a small object in another. The right figure, a female deity, wears a tall conical headdress and jewellery, holds a kalasha-style pot and a lotus-like item. Behind them lie disassembled statues and carved fragments on wooden platforms. No people are visible.2014-08-24A photograph of two large bronze-coloured deity murti seated side by side under a white tarpaulin, a crowned male figure with raised hand and a crowned female figure beside him. Around them stand about six men and boys. The man second from right wears a long-sleeved white-and-grey striped shirt; to his right a man in orange robes with long swept-back dark hair stands bare-shouldered with an orange wrap, appearing to be a sannyasi in saffron clothing, and the appearance is consistent with the page's reference to a person, though the face is not visible enough to confirm. A man in white dhoti and shirt gestures at right. Thatched and tiled structures and greenery appear behind.2006-09-18 +2 copiesSeptember 18 20062006-09-18
