In the foreground a man in saffron robes with long swept-back hair stands at left holding out an orange cloth banner. In the centre a saffron-robed statue of a seated figure with a garland of white flowers is carried on a platform by a man in an orange-and-saffron garment. Men in white dhotis and women in white saris hold brass trays with flower offerings and orange flags. Ornate fringed parasols with colourful tassels and embroidered panels rise above the group. Numerous devotees watch and clap from behind.2008-08-07
