A photograph inside a temple shrine doorway framed by ornate gold-coloured metal panels. In the foreground at left, a figure with long, swept-back dark hair wears a saffron-orange robe with the cloth wrapped at the waist, seen from behind. Inside the sanctum, a bare-chested priest in a pale yellow dhoti stands before a Shiva lingam covered with flower garlands and a white draped cloth, with a circular halo behind it. Oil lamps stand at the right, and a hanging lamp is visible in the dark chamber. The image is dim and warm-toned.
