Photograph of a colourful Hindu temple gateway with a tiered, painted gopuram-style tower topped by a kalasha-like finial. Statues on the parapet include two white bulls, a standing figure with raised arms, a seated figure, and a large deity murti of Ganesha with a trunk, flanked by small sculpted figures. A red and yellow banner hangs over the entrance with Tamil script and images of Ganesha and a goddess. No people are visible in the scene.

Photograph of a multi-pillared temple gateway decorated with painted bands and sculptures: a seated deity above the central niche, flanking tigers, a standing ganesha figure and a standing warrior statue on the roof. Below, about fifteen people stand and sit on a paved courtyard in front of the entrance, including men in lungis and shirts, boys, and a man in white with an orange shawl. A Tamil signboard across the entrance reads a devotional phrase. Palm trees and a hanging string of dried leaves frame the scene.

A crowded outdoor procession near an ornate temple gateway with painted deity figures and colourful pillars under a bright sky. A large red, yellow and blue parasol-style canopy with tasselled edges stands at the left edge. Many devotees throng the street: a man in white with a red-and-blue shirt, women in saris and white garments, one woman wearing a pink-and-white garland, and people in orange and saffron clothing. Several hands reach toward the central group as people gather and press forward. A yellow banner and a small white sign are visible near the gate.

A photograph of a colourful South Indian temple gopuram, tiered and painted in blue, green, and red with rows of sculpted deities and figures, above a dark entrance doorway. In the foreground a crowd gathers, including a bald man in an orange-saffron robe with a white shawl, walking beside a man in white dhoti and shirt. A man in a white shirt and dhoti stands nearby, with other devotees and a parked silver car at the lower right. A blue sky and a hillside appear behind the temple.
