Overhead photo of a padapuja ritual on a concrete ground. Bare feet rest on green banana leaves scattered with white jasmine flowers and red petals; one foot bears yellow turmeric paste. A man in white clothing stands at left, with a dark bead mala and gold bangles, pressing his palms together in worship. Another person in a white garment is partly visible at top, and a bare foot appears at bottom. Scattered red and white petals cover the ground. A timestamp in the corner reads 12.07.2008 10:10.

Green banana leaves are laid on the ground, scattered with white jasmine flowers and red rose petals, while more bare feet rest on leaves at the right, one pair also decorated with flowers. This appears to be a pada puja, a ritual washing and honouring of feet.2009-02-13February 13 20092009-02-13February 13 20092009-02-13Close-up photograph of several men's bare feet standing on green banana leaves on a concrete floor, decorated with white jasmine flowers and red petals as part of a pada-puja ritual. The men wear white dhotis with gold and maroon borders, and one man's maroon-and-gold shawl drapes across his shoulder at the left edge. Sunlight falls diagonally across the scene, and a timestamp reads 12.07.2008 10:01 in the lower right.2009-02-13February 13 20092009-02-13Photo 11722824Devotees bow deeply with their heads lowered toward the feet of standing men on a concrete floor. Two women in the foreground, one in a white top with a green-bordered cloth and one in an orange garment, bend forward with hands folded. Behind them, barefoot men in white kurta-style clothing and orange or brown lower garments stand on large green leaves placed on the ground, as in a padapuja. A man in a white kurta with a rudraksha mala is visible at right, and a person in a white shirt with a wristwatch stands at the edge of the frame. The scene suggests a devotional foot-worship ritual performed during a procession.2009-02-13January 08 20182018-01-08
