A central figure in a saffron-orange robe and matching orange head wrap, with long swept-back hair, rudraksha-style beaded necklace and a flower garland, walks forward; the cues are distinctive but the identity is an appearance-based candidate only, so it is labelled Swamiji (probable). Behind him, a young man in an orange shawl carries a brass tray of yellow flowers, while men in white dhotis and shirts with rosettes walk beside colourful fringed umbrellas printed with a temple design. A man on the right in white holds a video camera and wears an orange shawl. Red and orange festoons and marigold garlands hang overhead.2007-01-30Outdoor procession on a dirt road. A man in an orange saffron robe, orange turban with a red tilak, and a heavy gold bead necklace with a pendant walks beneath a large red and gold ceremonial umbrella (chhatra) held on a long pole. Beside him a man in white kurta with rudraksha mala and glasses holds the pole. Behind, an older woman in white with grey hair and a red bindi and a person in white carry a red and blue banner. Onlookers in dhoti and checked lungi stand along the roadside. Ceremonial umbrella and banner indicate a procession; the orange-robed figure has a turban, gold bead necklace and long hair, consistent with Swamiji (probable), appearing in person.2005-12-31December 23 20082008-12-23A smiling man with eyes closed walks in a procession, wearing an orange turban with a red bindi, orange robes and a heavy gold bead necklace, and holding a folded orange cloth against his chest. Long dark hair falls past his shoulders, with a rudraksha mala visible on the man behind him. Behind him, a lavender fringed canopy with red tassels hangs above a red and purple decorative banner with elephant and bird motifs, and a red and gold shield-like emblem with a white bird appears at right. Older men in white clothes and glasses stand among the crowd in the background under green trees.2005-12-31
