A photograph of a stone grinding mill in a dim room. A cylindrical grinding stone on a wooden shaft turns inside a large round stainless steel basin holding a pale, wet paste. A metal support frame with a clamp stands behind the basin against a stained white wall. No people are visible.

A dim, close-up photograph of a stainless steel basin holding a milky liquid, with a rotating wooden-and-stone grinding or churning stick spinning at its centre, blurred by motion. The mechanism is fixed to a metal frame bolted to a stained, grimy wall. No people are visible; the scene shows only the machinery and the swirling liquid in the basin.

A stainless steel tabletop wet grinder with a 5 litre capacity sits on a dark counter against a white tiled wall. A wooden pestle-like roller spins inside a large steel drum filled with a pale, thick batter. A chain and metal bracket hold the grinder's arm, and a steel lid rests on a steel vessel to the right. No people are visible.

A photograph of a stainless steel wet grinder in a kitchen setting. A large stainless steel bowl holds a pale batter being churned by a vertical grinding stone on a rotating arm, with a metal frame and chain above. A second steel container filled with batter sits to the right on the same dark counter. White tiled wall behind. No people are visible.

A photograph of a stainless steel commercial wet grinder on a tiled kitchen counter. A dark grey stone roller turns in a large steel basin filled with a pale, wet batter of ground grains, and a second steel vessel beside it holds more of the same batter. A small label on the grinder's base reads WET GRINDER 5 LITRES with operating instructions. No people are visible.

A large round stainless steel pot filled with cooked white rice mixed with seasoning, possibly curd rice, being stirred or topped with a block of rice from a plastic bag held by a person. A bare foot and a white-trousered leg of a person standing beside the pot are visible at left, and a steel container with a lid sits at right on a concrete floor.

A photograph of a smooth, egg-shaped dark reddish-brown lingam standing upright in a round stone basin filled with water. White powder. Behind it are small brass bowls and a metal pot holding incense sticks on a ledge, and a partial hand is visible at the top right, pouring or sprinkling. A red and white cloth edge appears at the left. The setting appears to be an outdoor shrine area with weathered stone walls and a wooden beam. No people are fully visible.

A photograph of a kitchen set-up on a dirt floor. In the foreground a stainless steel pressure-style cooker or grinder with a metal lid and a red knob sits on a small metal stand with a pipe-like handle assembly. A bowl containing cooked yellow food sits beside it, and a large dented metal pot stands behind on the ground. A bare foot of a person is visible at the upper left and a printed cloth lies at the right edge. No people are fully visible, and no person is shown in the portion of the photo that appears clearly.

Close overhead view into a wide polished stainless steel vessel filled with a fine pale powder. A cropped sleeve of a white garment and a dark cloth edge appear at the lower right.

A photograph of a smooth, egg-shaped dark stone lingam set in a circular stone yoni-pitha basin, its top dusted with white powder that is being poured from above by a hand entering from the upper edge of the frame. Water or liquid pools in the basin around the base, with white particles scattered on the surface. Behind it are a small shrine-side area with a brass oil lamp and incense sticks in a metal holder, a blue and yellow patterned tile, and rough grey stone walls. A person's bare hand and a partial arm in a light sleeve are visible at the edges. This shows a lingam being offered powder.
