Ahead, a man in white dhoti and shirt holds a long wooden pole topped with a decorated saffron-and-red canopy with yellow fringe. Women in white saris with yellow and green borders and dark rudraksha-style malas stand in a line, one in an orange sari with a small bag. Men in white clothes and yellow shawls carry umbrellas and a second decorated canopy.
