Close portrait of a bearded sadhu with matted grey dreadlocks and a long grey beard, his face marked with white ash horizontal stripes and a red tilak on the forehead. He wears an orange saffron turban and orange robes, with rudraksha and bead malas around his neck, and raises an open palm toward the camera. Behind him, a yellow metal barricade, a uniformed police officer and a red-and-white banner with Hindi script suggest a crowded roadside event. Ash-smeared sadhu appearance and saffron attire are not sufficient cues to identify anyone, so the figure is described by role only.
