A tall, slender wooden flagstaff wrapped in spiral bands of white and gold-tinged cloth rises against a clear blue sky, topped by a small carved finial and a bright orange-saffron flag fluttering from a cross-piece. Taut ropes run up beside the pole, and green palm fronds are visible at the lower edge. The photo was taken from below, looking upward, during a flag-hoisting ceremony at a Brahmotsava celebration. No people are visible in the frame.
