Three ornate arches framed in green, red, white, yellow and pink fabric and tinsel stand over raised red-draped platforms. The central arch holds a standing figure in orange robes on a white peacock-like vahana with a gold crown-like top, flanked by a silver tiered base. Right of centre, a seated deity murti with a crown and bow-like object sits under a gold-framed arch, beside a smaller figure. Left, a white elephant form and another decorated shrine are partly visible. No people are present in the scene; the figures are statues or murtis. A brass lamp and offerings sit near the front.2006-12-30December 30 20062006-12-30Two deity murtis stand side by side under a decorated arch framed by striped pink, yellow, green and white woven fabric with red and gold bead trim and a golden sun face at the top. Two smaller gilded figures flank the central form, and a row of small lamps with gold rims curves around the arch. A blue, orange and white canopy with a tasselled fringe sits above, and a white cloth covers the platform below. No physical people are visible.2006-12-30December 29 20062006-12-29December 31 20062006-12-31A decorated shrine under a temporary canopy displays three metal murtis on a red-and-white draped platform: a central Ganesha-form deity with an elephant head in a white dhoti, flanked by two standing deity figures in blue garments. Multicoloured garlands in pink, green, red, yellow and white form a large arch behind them, with ornaments along the edge. A canopy in orange, green and blue carries the text Dhyanapeetam, and a silver drape hangs behind the shrine under a corrugated roof.2006-12-30December 30 20062006-12-30December 30 20062006-12-30Two painted metal murti figures are seated side by side on a red wooden ratha-style cart or palanquin base with yellow wheels and turned yellow legs, set on a striped green and pink cloth. The taller figure wears a red and orange turban, a red garment with white draping, and layered necklaces; the seated figure beside it wears a green and red sari-style dress with a dark crown-like headpiece and gold jewellery. Both are garlanded with yellow, red and orange flower strands. Behind them stands a large arched backdrop of striped red, green, pink, yellow and purple fabric with silver tinsel edging and leaf-like ornaments, with a maroon curtain behind the figures. The scene appears to be a decorated procession or festival setup in a plain whitewashed hall.2007-12-22December 30 20062006-12-30
