Outdoor street scene during a procession with smoke in the air and banana-leaf and coloured decorations overhead. A man in an orange robe with a red-and-white beaded garland stands at centre with hands pressed together in greeting, a figure with long swept-back hair who has a probable Swamiji appearance cue. Beside him a man in white shirt and white dhoti holds a heap of pink flower petals in both hands. Women in white saris stand to the left, some with palms joined, and men in white shirts and dhotis surround the group. Several onlookers in the background add to the crowd.
