A man with long swept-back hair, wearing an orange saffron robe, orange shawl and a rudraksha mala, sits on an ornate gold and red throne, with his hands in his lap and gesturing as he speaks. Several devotees sit on the ground in front of him: women in white and cream saris with green and orange borders, and men in white dhotis, some with hands folded in prayer. A brass thali holding flowers, fruit and lamps sits on a gold stand before the throne. A printed board on the wall lists names, and a gold-decorated ornate pillar and red railing stand at right.2010-11-03December 29 20082008-12-29October 31 20102010-10-31 +1 copiesA photograph of a temple hall during a seated ritual. A man in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne at the centre, with his hands folded in his lap. To the left, a deity murti draped in white and yellow with garlands stands in a shrine niche. Around him, many people sit on orange and purple mats: men with shaved heads in white dhotis and yellow shawls, and women in white and yellow saris. Brass plates of offerings, kalasha vessels and lamps are arranged on the floor, and a man in orange at the far left sits with palms pressed together. Orange and red curtains and a red-and-white striped wall frame the hall, with palm trees visible outside.2010-08-10 +1 copiesA photograph of an outdoor satsang at an orange-and-white temple courtyard. A man with long swept-back dark hair sits on an ornate gold throne with a red cushion, wearing an orange robe, a rudraksha-style mala and a floral garland, hands folded in his lap. Before him, rows of seated devotees, mostly women in white and cream saris with some in yellow and green, sit on the ground with brass plates and bowls of food and offerings. A small pink flower arrangement and brass lamps are on the low platform. A bald man in white stands at the lower right edge, and a dark stone pillar with carvings stands at the upper right beside a brass railing. A board with names is on the orange wall behind.2010-11-01A photograph of an outdoor satsang at an orange-washed temple courtyard. A figure with long swept-back dark hair, wearing a saffron shawl over an orange garment and a garland of flowers, sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne behind a wooden lectern. He has a rudraksha mala and a ceremonial gold necklace, consistent with the appearance-based label a person. Before him, a row of devotees in white and cream saris and dhotis, some with yellow and orange shawls, sit with hands folded or raised, and several hold brass plates and offerings. A bald man in white and an orange-clad figure sit among them. A black board with white lettering hangs on the wall behind, and brass lamps, a kalasha and a stone pillar frame the scene.2010-11-01December 29 20082008-12-29
