A tall copper-clad ritual flagstaff, or dhwaja stambha, rises from an ornate stone base on a terracotta-coloured platform in an open courtyard. Its top is crowned with a sculpted copper finial, and a saffron-orange cloth streamer hangs from it. Beneath a metal-roofed open pavilion strung with orange triangular pennants, a few people sit on the ground near the base, and a white-clad figure kneels at the platform edge. Palm trees and a small shrine with a decorated dome stand in the background under a clear sky, with a painted sign on the right wall.
