Beside him, a figure in orange and red robes with a gold headband, white flower garland and red flowers sits and handles food on a tray. A man in white kurta and dhoti with a red-and-white shawl and rudraksha mala, wearing glasses and an ID lanyard, extends his hands to receive the food. Behind them, attendants in white with red sashes and mala garlands stand near a red sofa under a blue backdrop, while another figure in red shawl and white clothes holds a plate.2015-12-20A photograph of a ritual food offering on an orange cloth-covered floor. A long-haired figure in saffron-orange robes with a gold-toned necklace sits cross-legged at left, reaching toward a large steel bowl of cooked yellow rice mixed with vegetables. Facing them, a bare-chested man in a white shawl and orange dhoti kneels and scoops rice from the bowl. Behind them, two women in orange saris sit near a microphone stand and metal bowls, and several people in white and orange clothing stand at the back. A gold lion-shaped object rests at lower left.2010-11-12November 12 20102010-11-12A seated figure in orange saffron robes with long, swept-back dark hair sits on an orange cloth beside a steel bowl of food, extending his hand to receive or hand over a portion of the mixture. Behind him a dark-haired man in white ritual clothes kneels and offers food from a plantain leaf, and a stainless-steel bowl and cups sit on the floor. Several people stand in white dhotis with yellow shawls and gold-coloured trim, one holding a steel vessel overhead. A microphone stand, steel pots and a plastic basket appear in the background of an indoor hall. The scene suggests a food offering ritual with the orange-clad figure at its centre, with his identity as Swamiji (probable) based on the long hair and saffron robes.2010-10-12 +2 copiesA photograph of a serving ritual during an ashram meal. A bare-chested man with long swept-back dark hair, a rudraksha mala and an orange-brown cloth draped over his shoulders sits on a red cushion, smiling as he receives rice from a silver bowl. A man in white kurta and white dhoti with an orange-and-red shawl leans forward to hand him the food. Behind them, women in orange shawls and cream saris serve from steel pots onto banana leaves and plates on a blue mat. The long-haired seated man shows distinctive adornments and a mala, consistent with a person presence, though the face is not used for identification.2014-12-28A photograph of an indoor ritual in a temple-style hall. A woman with long dark curly hair, wearing an orange sari with a gold border and gold jewellery, kneels on an orange cloth and presses a handful of cooked rice from a steel bowl onto the head of a seated person whose head is covered by an orange cloth. A shaven-headed man in orange robes with maroon borders leans in to assist, and steel bowls holding rice, spices and offerings sit on the mat, with a microphone stand, a fan and a golden deity murti at lower left. Other people in white dhotis and orange robes stand in the background.2010-11-12
