A night-time outdoor photograph of a bonfire-style ritual on a dusty open ground. In the centre, a straw-stuffed effigy wrapped in white cloth stands tied to bamboo poles, sparks and fireworks bursting from its base. To the right, a large painted effigy seated on a purple-draped platform atop a flatbed cart glows with lights. Two people carry flaming torches at the edges, and a few onlookers in white and light clothing stand at the left beside a red tractor and a building with lit windows. The effigy is a ritual figure, not a person.
