A seated figure on an ornate gold-and-red throne is tying or adjusting a rudraksha mala around the neck of a bare-chested young boy in orange cloth kneeling before him. The seated man wears a maroon and gold-striped wrap, a gold belt, long braided rudraksha malas and a gold-trimmed shawl, and holds a bundle of yellow marigolds and a white cloth strip. Behind them, other figures in orange and white dhotis stand, and white sacred ash marks appear on the boy's shoulders and chest. The seated figure matches the Swamiji (probable) cues of long swept-back hair, rudraksha malas and ceremonial gold adornment.
